SPOKANE - Antonio Barton scored 17 points, including his team's final four points, as Memphis beat Gonzaga 62-58 on Saturday before 10,778 at Spokane Arena.

Barton's jumper with 38 seconds gave Memphis a 60-58 lead. After a missed jumper, offensive rebound and turnover by Gonzaga, Barton was quickly fouled with 1 second remaining and hit both free throws to secure the victory.

Charles Carmouche had 13 points for Memphis (17-6) and Will Barton added 12. The Tigers led by as many as 13 points in the second half and hung on to break a two-game losing streak.

Steven Gray led Gonzaga (15-9) with 12 points and Kelly Olynyk had 10. The Bulldogs shot just 36 percent, were 6 of 20 from 3-point range and have now lost three games in Spokane this season.

Spokane Arena is about twice the size of Gonzaga's 6,000-seat on-campus arena, McCarthey Athletic Center.

After shooting 39 percent in the first half, Memphis came out on fire in the second - making 7 of its first 10 shots. The Tigers' 15-4 run gave them a 47-34 lead with 13:34 remaining. Gonzaga went over six minutes without a field goal during that stretch.

Olynyk broke the Bulldogs' scoreless streak with a 3-pointer, igniting a 10-2 run, as Gonzaga pulled within 49-44 with 7:09 left. The only Memphis points during the run came after Olynyk was hit with a technical foul and Will Barton hit two ensuing free throws.

Gonzaga's leading scorer, Gray, was just 1 of 9 from 3-point range before his second pulled the Bulldogs to within 51-49.

A hook shot by Robert Sacre gave Gonzaga a 54-53 lead, its first since it was 28-25.

The Tigers' Carmouche hit a 3-pointer, tying the game at 56 with 1:46 left. It was Memphis' first field goal since the 13:34 mark of the second half.

Gonzaga and Memphis hit two free throws apiece before Antonio Barton's mid-range jumper gave the Tigers a 60-58 lead.

The first half was a struggle for both teams. The game was knotted at 13 before Gonzaga went on a 10-2 run, capped by an Olynyk 3-pointer. Two Carmouche 3-pointers during a 10-2 Memphis run pulled the game even again at 25. The Tigers led 32-30 at halftime, despite making just 13 of 33 shots. Gonzaga didn't fare much better, shooting 35.5 percent.

This was the first time since 1998 that neither Gonzaga nor Memphis entered this game ranked. Officials for both schools announced Saturday that the final two games in the four-year agreement will be postponed.
