MOSCOW - Jeff Ledbetter scored 15 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Idaho to a 75-61 victory against Hawaii on Saturday night.
"It was nice to make some shots," Idaho coach Don Verlin said. "We just made a bunch of shots tonight, especially from 3. When you shoot it 10 for 18, you're pretty hard to beat."
The Vandals (13-10, 6-5 WAC) started slow, but heated up when Stephen Madison hit three 3-pointers in the middle of the first half.
Idaho then went on a 15-0 run that allowed them to pull ahead 25-17 with a little more than seven minutes left in the half.
Ledbetter sank a pair of 3-pointers to push Idaho on a 13-3 run early in the second half, giving the Vandals a 60-43 lead with 12:19 to play.
The Vandals went without a field goal in the final seven minutes, but they made 11 of 13 from the free throw line down the stretch.
Vander Joaquim led the Warriors (13-10, 4-7) with 14 points.
Idaho’s Deremy Geiger had a career-high 11 assists.
Hawaii also struggled late, going without a field goal for five minutes. Bo Barnes broke the drought for the Warriors with 21.6 seconds left in the game, but it was all but over by then.
Idaho plays host to Utah State on Wednesday.
