Hofstra basketball

Loper, a freshman from Post Falls High, scored 16 points on four 3-pointers as the Pride (13-9, 5-6 Colonial Athletic Association) defeated William and Mary on Thursday in Hempstead, N.Y. She also scored 13 points in the team’s 76-70 loss at George Mason on Sunday, but earned Conference Rookie of the Week honors for the sixth time after averaging 14.5 points per game.

J.J. Turbin

Westmont College baseball

Turbin, a sophomore from Coeur d’Alene High, went 6 for 6, including a three-run home run in a 14-1 win for the Warriors against La Sierra on Saturday. Turbin used his redshirt season at Oregon State University before transferring to the NAIA school in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Montana State basketball

Reid, a freshman from Post Falls High, had seven rebounds and six points off the bench for the Bobcats (11-12, 5-6) in a 78-58 Big Sky Conference loss to Weber State on Saturday.

BYU-Hawaii basketball

Rieben, the former Fenenbock from Lake City High, scored 17 points and had four assists for the Seasiders in a 72-65 win against the University of Hawaii-Hilo on Saturday in Laie, Hawaii.

Walla Walla basketball

Corsi, a sophomore from St. Maries High, had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors in a Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges game against Columbia Basin in Walla Walla on Wednesday.

Jared Griffard

Gannon University swimming

Griffard, a junior from Coeur d’Alene High, finished third for the Golden Knights of Erie, Penn., in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.67 and 200 breaststroke in 2:14.55, while finishing fourth in the 400 individual medley at 4:29.51 at the Indiana (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday.
