Loyce Huber of Bigfork died after a lengthy battle with cancer Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at her residence.
Loyce was born to Willard “Bill” and Isabel (Lavaduer) Warren in Zortman on April 19, 1926.
In the mid-’30s the family moved to the Flathead Valley, where they settled. Loyce graduated from Ronan High School in 1943.
She married John Huber in 1947. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where they made their home. Following John's death, Loyce moved to Bigfork.
Loyce enjoyed bowling, her flowers, playing cards and spending time with family and her “Montana Girls.”
Loyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, of 37 years; her youngest daughter, Betty Kay; sister, Vera Koberly; and brother, Dale Warren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Bill Cross, of Meridian, Idaho; her son, Bill Huber, of Bigfork; a sister, Betty Thomson, of Anchorage; grandchildren, Paula Armstrong of Kuna, Idaho, Kim Beckwith, William J. Cross, Lisa Rylander and Clark Engebretsen of Alaska, Danielle Munroe of Auburn, Wash.; and 10 great-grandchildren. She maintained a close and loving relationship with all of them.
Memorial services for Loyce will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Chapel.
