Michael Andrew Cunningham, 22

Michael Andrew Cunningham, 22, of Worley. Born Oct. 2, 1988. Left this world on Feb. 9, 2011.

Michael was born at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene to Bill and Debi Cunningham (Lewis). He went to school at Plummer/Worley Joint School District. The greatest joy of Michael's life was his son Elijah Matthew Eugene Cunningham. Before his passing Michael was a loving stay-at-home father to his son Elijah. Michael enjoyed being outdoors, snowboarding, skateboarding, playing video games, hanging out with friends and family and just being down right goofy.

Michael was a jack of all trades. He spent time as a welder, salesman, he bucked hay bales, helped his dad in his regulator repair shop and even delivered newspapers. He will be greatly missed, but the memories of his sense of humor and sarcastic wit will help carry us through this loss.

He is survived by his son, Elijah; his son's mother, Samantha Tyler-Blood; his parents, Bill and Debi Cunningham (Lewis) (Worley); his sisters, Barbara Russell (Worley), Patricia Hensley and her husband, Alan Hensley (Rathdrum) and Carrie Howard and her husband, Shane Howard (Kingston); his grandma, Violet Lormis (Worley); his niece, Samantha; his nephews, Bradley, Cody, Andrew, Mason, Brian, Emmett, Zach, Chandler and his great-nephew, Bryce. Extended family included numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, friends and his church family.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, with viewing to start at 8 a.m. at Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene.
