Fraser joins Idaho Trust
Cari Fraser, a native of Coeur d'Alene, joined the Idaho Trust Bank team in mid-November 2010 as a private banker in the wealth management division.
Fraser has 16 years of investment management and estate planning experience.
At Idaho Trust she specializes in assisting high net worth individuals, non-profits and businesses with their wealth management needs.
She serves the community through her involvement in United Way, Leadership CDA, and the Coeur d'Alene Estate Planning Council.
Currently she is also serving on the board of directors for the Sunrise Rotary Club, the Coeur d'Alene Parks Foundation and the Coeur d'Alene Carousel Foundation.
$6.75M collected from ARCO
U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson announced Monday that her office collected $6.75 million from Atlantic Richfield Co. in a settlement between the federal government, the Coeur d'Alene Tribe, the state of Idaho and the company.
The settlement resolves allegations that Atlantic Richfield and its predecessor, Anaconda Co., were liable under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, commonly known as Superfund, for response costs and natural resources damages relating to releases of hazardous substances at or from the Bunker Hill Mining and Metallurgical Complex Superfund Site in northern Idaho.
Under the terms of the settlement, Atlantic Richfield will pay a total of $5,062,500 to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for response costs and $1,687,500 to the United States Department of the Interior, the United States Department of Agriculture, the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and the state of Idaho for natural resources damages at the Bunker Hill Site. The amount collected under the settlement is more than the entire operating budget for the U.S. Attorney's Office for fiscal year 2011.
Chamber fundraiser slated for Friday
POST FALLS - The "Shooting for Success Challenge," a fundraiser for the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Center Target Sports, 3295 E. Mullan Ave.
Cost is $25 per person or five tickets for $100. Food and beverages will be provided by the Cabela's White Pines Cafe.
Tickets are being sold at Center Target Sports, the chamber or www.postfallschamber.com.
There will be more than $2,000 in cash and prizes.
The event includes a Shot in the Dark Contest ($25 per shot or two for $40), Shooting Gallery Contest ($10 per shot or three for $25) and Laser Shot Contest ($5 per game per person or three games for $10).
Participants in the games will be eligible to earn prizes. There will also be a machine gun shoot, darts and Wii bowling.
The fundraiser is sponsored by Cabela's, Buck Knives and Center Target Sports.
