Chainsaws missing, presumed stolen

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report that six chainsaws were stolen from property near U.S. 2 east of Kalispell. The owner said the saws were likely stolen in December.
A woman on Haywire Gulch said her 20-year-old son became unruly and broke a chair after she suggested he get a job. The man left and stayed elsewhere for the evening.
Suspicious activity was reported on Kelley Road outside Columbia Falls after a woman parked in a private driveway and walked around with a flashlight. A deputy spoke to the woman, who said she was searching for her blind and deaf dog.
A protection violation was alleged on Wagner Road in Coram, where a woman said a man was contacting her through a third party.
