 Susan J. Boyle, 92, passed away Feb. 16, 2011, in her home at Prestige Assisted Living in Kalispell, following a short illness.

Susan was born Feb. 2, 1919, to Thomas O’Loughlin and Annie McKenty O’Loughlin, in the Sweet Grass Hills.

She married Eugene Boyle on June 9, 1941, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Cut Bank. There, living in the same home for 63 years, they raised their two sons, Gene “Butch” and Tom. Susan took great pride in being a wife, mother and homemaker.

 She was active in bowling league for many years. She and Gene Sr., also enjoyed golfing, playing cards and cribbage with family and friends.

 Susan was an active member of St. Margaret’s Parish in Cut Bank; She relied on her strong faith all through her life.

 Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Sr., in 2004; her two sisters, Margaret and Jean; and her brother, Howard.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Gene and Barbara Boyle of Kalispell, and Thomas and Sheila Boyle of Vancouver, Wash.; by two sisters, Gertrude Peterson of Cut Bank, and Ann Anderson of Power. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Jane and Robert Holt, Brenda and Keith Boone, Beth Ann and John Kopf, Sean and Echo Boyle and Deanna and Chris McElwee, who all called her “Nini.” As well, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Tanner, Emily and Jackson, Alix, Kaitlyn and Thomas, and Owen and Teague; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Peterson and the Woodland Clinic staff, Frontier Hospice, and especially the staff at Prestige Assisted Living for their excellent care before and during her illness.

There will be a visitation for Susan from 5 to 7 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 21, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Cut Bank. Mass of Christian Burial for Susan will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery.
