COEUR d'ALENE - Debut author Rebecca Zanetti is launching the release of her first novel close to home.

Zanetti, a Hayden Lake native, will be signing copies of her book "Fated" on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gourmet Way in Hayden, 8222 N. Government Way.

The publication of "Fated" is the first of a three-book deal Zanetti signed in late 2009 with Kensington Book's Brava division.

A 1988 graduate of Coeur d'Alene High School, Zanetti lives with husband Tony and her two children in Hayden.

Zanetti, an attorney and former hearing examiner for Kootenai County, started writing during the snowy winter of 2008.

Kensington's Brava division publishes sensual romance fiction, and Zanetti's story line adds some paranormal spice to the mix. From her website, rebeccazanetti.com, it's "where the vampires are the good guys."

Wine and door prizes will be offered at Tuesday's book launch at Gourmet Way. It is open to the public.
