BONNERS FERRY — Although a fire that destroyed the Twin Rivers Canyon Resort home/office and convenience store in December, manager Shelly Hoisington said it is business as usual.

Hoisington said the  reservation book with the upcoming season’s reservations was destroyed in the fire.  These reservations were for weddings, family reunions, office parties, camping, etc.

She said some of the reservations have been recreated, but the Hoisington’s are asking people to call who might have scheduled an event this summer.

“There are a lot of people out there who gave us cell phone numbers that we aren’t able to track,” Hoisington said.  “We were able to recreate some by memory but if anyone knows anyone who may have made a reservation please call.”

The season will start April 1, and run through Oct. 31.  People can still swim, fish, picnic, set up the RV, and hold a wedding or reunion at the resort.  Season passes will be available for purchase April 1.

The only difference from the season routine is that the office is not there.

Hoisington said there will either a trailer or some type of structure in place for people to  purchase tickets and passes.

“There probably won’t be a convenience store in the trailer but there will be a way to purchase tickets,” she said. “I want to express that we will be open, there are so many rumors out there and I want to make sure everyone knows we are there.”

Construction on a new office is expected to start as soon as the weather permits.

Hoisington said has not yet been determined as to what type of building will be built and they  are not sure how long it will take.

“They of course will have to remove the debris first then start building and hopefully there will be a place before the end of the summer,” she said.

Anyone who may have made reservations or would like to contact Twin Rivers Canyon Resort at 208-267-5932. Reservations can also be made online by going to http://www.twinriversresort.com and clicking the reservation link.
