The Kootenai Cross-Country Ski Club is

offering free ski lessons for all ages on three Sundays in

January.

Classes will be held from 1:30-3 p.m.

at the new nine at Cabinet View Golf Course on Jan. 9, 16 and 23.

Participants should park in the lot by the driving range on Cabinet

Heights Road.

Though the lessons are free,

participants must bring their own skis, boots and poles.

Instructors plan to offer separate

classes for children and adults and cover skills from falling down

safely to techniques in uphill, flat and downhill skiing.

Those who are interested must register

by e-mailing [email protected] and include the name of the

skier, age and experience level (beginner or intermediate).

Club members will provide hot chocolate

and cookies at the conclusion of the class.
