EPHRATA — Carolann Swartz is now chair of the Grant County

commissioners.

The three commissioners rotate the vice-chair and chair positions

annually. Commissioner Cindy Carter held the position for two

years, after Swartz replaced LeRoy Allison in 2009. Swartz was the

vice-chair this year. Commissioner Richard Stevens will take the

position this year.

“I’m not sure I’m going to do it all right, but you’ve got to start

somewhere,” Swartz said.
