A  spirit competition about school and community spirit and sportsmanship “Moose Madness” is approaching.

Bonners Ferry High School and Sandpoint High School will compete in the third annual spirit competition at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Bonners Ferry High School.

The boys and girls junior varsity teams will be playing at 6 p.m. Friday Jan. 14, at Bonners Ferry High School. The two schools will be battling for a trophy of Moose antlers.

Admission fee is $5 and will get people into both games. Children under 4 years of age and senior citizens get in free.

There are a limited number of tickets available and can be purchased at Bonners Ferry High School.

The competition is not based on who wins the basketball games. It is based on school and community spirit, good sportsmanship shown by the players, coaches, and fans, several activities that will take place during the halftime of each game, including a moose call competition, a timed moose drawing, and a mascot competition.

If you have any questions, contact athletic director Ted Reynolds at Bonners Ferry High School, 267-3149.
