Logging activity from the Shafer Creek

timber sale ended last weekend, Kootenai National Forest

announced.

The timber sale was accessed by East

Fork Pipe Creek Road and Baldy Creek Road. Snow plowing will end on

those roads, officials said, and winter recreationists will no

longer encounter logging activity in the area.
