WILBUR - Despite a solid second half defensive effort, the Wilson Creek Devils were unable to dig out from their early deficit at Wilbur-Creston Tuesday night.
Trailing 32-18 at halftime, the Devils (6-4) buckled down to hold their hosts to 15 points after the break but couldn't get enough offense going in a 47-36 non league loss.
Wilson Creek was led by Jacob Treat's 14 points, Arturo Reyes' 11 points, and the 10-point effort of Pat Trepanier.
Only one of the remaining four players to get on the floor scored a single point, which contributed to the defeat.
