Alleged baby shoe thief cited

Kalispell Police cited and released a man and a woman with arrest warrants at 5:17 p.m. Saturday after a business employee recognized the couple’s 1997 gray Dodge caravan, which had flames on the side. The woman allegedly stole some baby shoes from the employee’s store.
A man with long hair and a long black cape was reportedly selling “ganja,” or marijuana, in the 600 block of Fourth Avenue West at 8:40 p.m. Saturday.
Two boys were reportedly in the middle of Willow Glen Drive on a gas-powered motor scooter at 2:58 p.m. Saturday. The boys wouldn’t get out of the way of traffic, and the caller said they were causing a hazard.
A theft of a DVD player and digital camera from a vehicle on Appleway Drive was reported at 4:22 p.m. Saturday.
A woman was cited and released for shoplifting in the 100 block of Hutton Ranch Road at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
A woman who reported another woman for theft was getting threatening phone calls from the alleged thief at 6:52 p.m. Saturday. A woman was counseled about the civil matter.
A man reported that there was an attempted break-in at his residence on Fifth Avenue East at 1:13 a.m. Sunday. Someone reportedly removed a screen from a window and moved a TV.
Harassment was reported after a 59-year-old man kept calling a house wanting to talk to an 11-year-old girl at 1:43 a.m. Sunday.
A hit-and-run accident was reported after a vehicle traveling backward struck another vehicle in the 1200 block of Third Avenue East at 1:54 a.m. Sunday. A man was arrested and a vehicle was towed.
Someone reported that three youths, two boys and one girl, were attempting to break into vehicles in the 300 block of Second Avenue East North at 3:19 a.m. Sunday.
A man who was visiting his daughter allegedly threatened to kill a woman and one of her female friends in the 200 block of Ninth Avenue West at 8:59 a.m. Sunday.
A mother reported that her 18-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted in Evergreen Saturday night.
A father was trying to pick up his daughter at a daycare Sunday morning, but the daycare wouldn’t let him. The mother was reportedly supposed to drop off the daughter at the father’s house that morning but didn’t. The daycare provider is reportedly the man’s former sister-in-law. There is no parenting plan in place.
Montana Highway Patrol responded to an injury accident at 11:13 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Lake Five Road on U.S. 2 East. The accident involved a GMC pickup with Arizona tags that rolled over.
There were four people in the vehicle, which was eastbound. There was freezing rain. The truck slid sideways across the road into a snow bank, flipped and landed on its top.
Two girls were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center by ambulance. A female driver was transported by helicopter to the hospital. A man was not injured.
Everyone wore seat belts, Trooper John Underwood said.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 26-year-old man on a warrant at the Pablo Fire Hall at 5:46 p.m. Saturday.
A man reported that $80 was stolen from his car at 8:48 p.m. Saturday in the 32700 block of U.S. 93 South.
A man reported that a woman took his keys and wouldn’t return them at 11:56 p.m. Saturday on Cottonwood Lane.
A man reported that four people, including his landlord, were trying to break into his house at 2:23 p.m. Saturday in the 39700 block of Kings Point Road.
A woman reported that another woman wouldn’t leave her residence in the 31500 block of Grace Lane at 4:53 a.m. Saturday.
A fight was reported at a Polson gas station at 1:57 a.m. Saturday.
Whitefish Police responded to a theft on U.S. 93 South at 5 p.m. Saturday.
A physical disturbance was reported on Karrow Avenue at 8:43 p.m. Saturday.
Ronan Police arrested a 22-year-old woman for possession of drugs with intent to sell at a restaurant on U.S. 93 and Terrace Lake Road at 6:28 p.m. Saturday.
