COULEE CITY - The top-ranked team in Class 1B proved its mettle once again Tuesday night.

Taking on a taller, bigger, Class 1A opponent in Okanogan, the host Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors found a way to overcome a sluggish start and pull away for a 66-59 win to remain unbeaten this season.

ACH (13-0) found a way to edge out in front 30-26 by halftime behind a strong up-tempo game while being buyoed by the return off Cody Jess.

In his first game back since battling injuries that occurred during football season, Jess finished with 17 points to help Derek Isaak's cause as the junior guard added 22 points.

Brandon Boutain added 19 points for the Warriors who outscored Okanogan 16-10 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.
