PATEROS - On Tuesday night, the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors split their duals in a triangular meet at Pateros.

The Warriors beat the hosts 26-21 to the hosts and fell 15-12 against Brewster.

"We are in the meat of our schedule right now, which is kind of fun," ACH head coach Brandon Walsh said. "We're getting to see what we're made of and the kids are responding well."

Against Brewster, the Warriors got two pin wins from Jesse Billups (285-pounds) against both Brewster's Bernardo Martinez and Jorge Caballero.

In the dual against Pateros, ACH scored points via Tyler Weimerskirch (125-pounds) who earned a first-round pin against Billy Medel and RC Carstensen (152-pounds) and Brook Streeter (171-pounds) who both beat Omar Medel.

Carstensen took his match in an 18-4 romp while Streeter held on for a 7-4 decision.

To wrap up the win, Cody Payne (145-pounds) earned a second-round pin while Cody McCleary added a second-round pin at 135-pounds.

"The post season is only a couple of weeks away and everything we do from here on out, whether it's in matches or practice, starts to become more and more important," Walsh said. "I think guys are starting to understand that and work a bit harder every time they step on the mat."
