SPOKANE - If last year's wrestling campaign was enough to whet the appetite of the sports fans in the Columbia Basin, this one could promise to be even better.

After Moses Lake (4A), Othello (2A), and Warden (1A), all finished with third-place finishes at the Mat Classic in Tacoma, it would not be a stretch to say the 2009-2010 season was successful.

Now fast forward almost a year later.

All three teams have once again come out strong and in many regards even more prolific.

On Saturday, all three teams travelled to Spokane along with the Warden Lady Cougars team to East Valley High School for this year's version of Dream Duals.

When all matters were settled, the Chiefs of Moses Lake and both Warden teams - now members of Class 2B - took home team titles, while Othello put a scare in the defending Class 2B state champions, Deer Park, before ending up runners-up.

In essence, the Columbia Basin teams' performance was a dream for them while ending up a nightmare for others.
