RONAN - Ronan jumped out to a 7-0 lead in their Northwestern A conference matchup against Whitefish, but after a closely contested game, the Lady Bulldogs caught fire in the fourth quarter for the 36-31 win.

Ronan saw great offense of Alice Van Gunten, who scored 14 points for the Maidens. After both teams battled to a 7-7 tie in the first, Whitefish opened a tentative 15-11 lead at halftime.

The Maidens posted a 12-point third quarter, finishing out the period on a 6-2 run to tie things up 23-23.

However, in the fourth, Whitefish's shooting was dead on and they went on an 8-3 run to finish out the game
