POLSON - It was a matchup of two of the best wrestling teams in the state as the No. 10 Chiefs visited the Polson Pirates to finish the regular season. Polson won their sixth straight Northwestern A Dual with a 51-30 victory over Ronan. Polson got six forfeits, and Ronan got one, giving the Pirates a jump start on their Mission Valley rivalry.

After Ronan started the night off with a forfeit in the 135-pound class, Alex Nystrom earned a pin for Polson in the 140-pound class against Carston Baertsch. That gave Polson the 12-0 lead.

Shelby Grant got Ronan on the board, pinning Sklyar Anderson at 145-pounds.

Colton Lenz won a 9-5 decision over Dustin Goldby to extend Polson's lead to 15-6.

Forfeits at 160 by Ronan, and 171 for Polson made it 21-12.

Defending state champion Toby Cheff pinned Marklin Burke in 3:09 to pull the Chiefs within 21-18 and then Colby Roberts pinned Jerel Chief Stick at 215 points to give Ronan the 24-21 lead.
