Family members argue about animal health

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Thursday from a man in a locked bedroom who said his niece had punched him in the face. After a deputy arrived at the Columbia Falls area home, the niece claimed her animals got sick because of him, and it turned out that he had a scratch on his face.
A woman reported that the front door of her Conrad Drive home had been locked overnight but was mysteriously wide open. Nothing was missing, and she believes her separated husband may have had something to do with it.
A person calling from Marion Pines Drive reported that an unwanted stray Chihuahua wandered into her a home through a doggie door. It was taken to the animal shelter.
A person called from Stoneridge Drive to report an assault that occurred sometime the night before.
A man called from Nicholson Drive to report that his son had been beat up at a day care. The day care apparently maintains that it was his son that was beating up someone, but he does not believe that is the case.
There was a report from a West Evergreen Drive resident that an 11-year-old child had suffered a possible broken nose at the hands of a high school student. The teenager ran away when the child’s mom approached him.
A man who had been drinking called from a parking lot off Montana 35 in the Evergreen area and reported that his pickup had been stolen, but it was later located at the entrance to Meadow Manor on Shady Lane.
After getting a hangup call from the Hungry Horse area at about 2:30 a.m. Friday, dispatchers tracked the call to a home where previous disturbances had occurred. A man with several outstanding warrants lives at the home. It was unclear if the call led to any arrests.
The Kalispell Police Department got a disorderly report Thursday involving a combative man at a clinic near Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The man eventually walked to the hospital emergency room.
Responding to a report of a reckless driver, an officer witnessed a “verbal and physical altercation” occurring in front of him on Hutton Ranch Road. It was considered a “road rage” incident but nobody wanted to pursue charges.
A man was arrested on a warrant in the 1800 block of U.S. 93 South.
A woman was picked up on arrest warrant on the 500 block of West Utah Street.
At about 2:30 a.m. Friday, a woman, calling from the 300 block of Conway Drive, reported she thought someone was in her vehicle trying to steal it. The reporting party turned out to be a person at a nursing home who was not taking medications and does not own a car.
