Helgard Waltrud Rogers, 84, of Coeur d'Alene, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center in The Circle of Life. Helgard was born in Oberhausen-Osterfeld, Germany. She married and moved to the U.S. in 1948. She spent many years managing A & W Family Restaurants and donated fifteen years managing the North Idaho Hospice Thrift Store.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son Roger; and life partner of 30 years, Erwin O. Schubach. She is survived by her brother Knut; daughter Helgard Peach Rogers; sons Karl and Knut Rogers; daughters-in-law Denise and Carin; step-daughter Karla Porter; and grandchildren: Sherrie, Blaine, Wyatt, Adria, Phelan, Karlee and Trace.
She was a partner, mother, sister, Oma, and friend. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
