Dawn Schmit adds the finishing touches to a mural she has been working on for three weeks on Thursday afternoon at the Glacier Fund building in Columbia Falls. The mural is based on a photograph of Glacier National Park by Chris Peterson. Schmit said she got the idea to do a mural from driving past the building and seeing the large white wall. She started with a rough canvas painting, which she used to convince Glacier Fund to let her create the mural.
