For the second year in a row, a local car dealership has donated a new vehicle for a school district fundraiser.

Gerrid Gandrud, owner of Kalispell Toyota, has given Kalispell Public Schools a 2011 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, which the school district will raffle off this fall.

Tickets for the white pickup truck will be sold at Depot Park during Kalispell’s Fourth of July parade. The pickup also will be driven in the parade, which starts at 10 a.m.

Raffle tickets are $10 each.

Those who can’t make it to Depot Park on the Fourth should watch for students and school representatives selling raffle tickets throughout the summer at Montana Raceway Park and at the Northwest Montana Fair.

They also will sell tickets this fall during school events. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at the school district’s administrative offices above the county library, 233 First Ave. E.

The winning ticket will be drawn Sept. 30 during halftime at the crosstown football game.

Last year’s raffle winner drove away in a 2009 Toyota Scion. That fundraiser brought in $22,000 to support K-12 student enrichment, extracurricular activities and athletic programs.

For additional information about the raffle, visit www.sd5.k12.mt.us. The district’s activities accounting office is overseeing the fundraiser.
