Blaze controlled quickly

HAYDEN - A shed and garage caught fire Saturday at 166 Ferrians Road, but firefighters controlled the blaze in roughly 10 minutes.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, at a house near Government Way, about 1:30 p.m., according to Capt. Mike Mather of Northern Lakes Fire & Rescue.

The shed was ablaze and the fire appeared to spreading to the attic in the garage, Mather said. Crews arrived in three engines, two chief vehicles, a support unit and an ambulance.

They quickly doused the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The shed was destroyed, Mather said. The garage sustained slight damage.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
