ANNIVERSARY

Ned and Mary Satterlee

Celebrate 50 Golden Years

The Satterlee kids would like to invite all friends and family of the Golden Couple to help celebrate this great milestone in their lives.

The celebration will be held from 1-4 p.m. today, July 3, 2011, at the Coeur d'Alene Nazarene Church. We will be having a potluck picnic so please bring a favorite potluck dish or dessert and a favorite memory to share with the Golden Couple. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided.

ENGAGEMENTS

Reed-Emerson

Pamela Hagen, of Hayden, and John Reed of Missoula, Mont., are overjoyed to announce the engagement of their daughter Jordan Reed to Mark Emerson, son of Mark and Marianne Emerson, of Bayview.

The wedding will take place Monday, July 4, 2011. We are all so happy for them!

Brown-Inman

Merry Brown and Wally Inman are pleased to announce their upcoming wedding set for Aug. 20, 2011, in Rathdrum.

They met eight years ago in Sandpoint. After a long engagement, they have finally decided to take the plunge.

Merry is the daughter of Clyde Smith, and the late Wesselyn Smith, of Sandpoint. Wally is the son of the late Milton Inman and the late Carol Inman, of Sandpoint.

They hope all their family and friends will attend and help them celebrate as they become husband and wife.

Morse-Casiano

Suzan Morse of Coeur d'Alene and Mike Morse of Alberton, Mont., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Shawn Morse to Tech. Sgt. Eddie Casiano III, the son of Yvonne and Wes Bauer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Edgardo Casiano Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Shawn graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 2001 and St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, in 2005 with a degree in criminal justice. She then graduated from the San Antonio Police Academy in 2007.

Eddie graduated in 2000 from Trevor Brown High School in Phoenix. He enlisted in the United States Air Force that same year. During his military service he has been deployed overseas four times. Eddie also graduated from the San Antonio Police Academy in 2006.

Shawn and Eddie are both employed as police officers with the San Antonio Police Department. They are planning a November 2011 wedding in Coeur d'Alene.

BIRTHS

Steven Michael Kinzer was born at 1:10 p.m. June 25, 2011, to Ashley Nichole Kinzer of Spirit Lake. He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Michael Scott Kinzer and Zola Renae Kinzer.

Kenlee Joyce Shaw was born June 23, 2011, to Susan (Clark) and Damon Shaw of Coeur d'Alene, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 6.5 lbs. Maternal grandparents are Kenneth and Patricia Clark (deceased). Paternal grandparents are Dave and Dana Shaw of Coeur d'Alene.

MILITARY

Navy Seaman Apprentice Madeline J. Westrum, a 2009 graduate of Lake City High School, Coeur d'Alene, was recently selected to receive the Academic Excellence Award of her recruit company at Recruiting Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Westrum was cited for outstanding performance by a single recruit in her company while undergoing recruit training. Westrum's commitment to excellence put her performance above all of her peers.

This Academic Excellence Award is presented to the sailor who achieved the highest overall academic score during recruit training.
