PHOENIX - Former Spokane Shock quarterback Nick Davila completed 23 of 29 passes for 291 yards and nine touchdowns as the Arizona Rattlers defeated the Shock 68-46 in an Arena Football League game at the U.S. Airways Center on Saturday.

Spokane quarterback Erik Meyer hit Chas Gessner on a 17-yard touchdown pass, but the Shock had the extra point blocked as the Ratttlers maintained a 7-6 lead after the first quarter.

Arizona (14-2) scored 56 seconds into the second quarter as Odie Armstrong took a handoff three yards for a touchdown to make it 14-6.

Spokane trailed just 34-30 on Taylor Rowan's 24-yard field goal on the last play of the first half. But the Rattlers put the game out of reach in the second half, scoring 20 straight points to lead 61-38 before Emery Sammons caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Kyle Rowley, who threw three interceptions in the second half for Spokane.

Spokane (7-8) hosts Utah (7-8) in the first outdoor game in AFL history on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Joe Albi Stadium. Both teams remain tied for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with three weeks to play.
