A string of thefts in various Whitefish
neighborhoods were reported June 29 and 30 with numerous items
stolen from vehicles. Whitefish Police Chief Bill Dial says they
have no leads on a suspect as of presstime.
The initial report came from Columbia
Avenue where a briefcase and laptop computer were stolen out of a
pickup. The window of the vehicle was found smashed out early in
the morning.
Similar thefts on June 29 were reported
form Willow Brook Close, East 3rd Street and Park Avenue.
On Thursday, two bicycles were stolen
from Wisconsin Avenue, an iPod Touch was stolen from Idaho Avenue
and a car stereo was taken from a vehicle parked on Columbia
Avenue.
Dial reminds Whitefish residents to
lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight.
