The Dow Jones of healing

Healing is like the stock market. It never progresses in a straight line. You've got to expect some ups and downs along the way.

I would like to be able to tell you that by seeing a chiropractor once, you will be healed and will remain healed forever. Sorry. It doesn't work that way.

You might experience a surge of relief when you first start your Chiropractic care only to be followed by a relapse. Discouragement may set in at this point. Don't give up! Soon you're back on track again.

Progress continues with bouts of highs and lows, and you may even experience a plateau or dip in your improvements. At the plateau point where you're feeling great, I see many tempted to stop their chiropractic care. Don't make this mistake of "pulling out of the market" early. Don't risk your healthy future by discontinuing care.

Life happens and the spine will become subluxated (a spinal bone moves out of proper position) and will cause problems in some area of your body at some point in time. This is why it's necessary to continue having your spine checked by a chiropractor. Even when you have no symptoms such as pain, you need to take care of your spine. By doing so, your nervous system can do its job and help to keep your body healthy and vibrant!

Keep the big picture in mind. Like stocks, the gains in Chiropractic care are best seen over time. When you look back and see how far you've come since your first visit, you'll realize the dividends are paying off.

Ask your Chiropractor about the additional benefits of chiropractic or give us at call at 208-667-7434 or look us up on the Web at www.CDAHealth.com to learn more about how to become and stay healthy. Take care of your body-you only get one!

This is due to the fact that our Focus program is now in full swing and we have begun helping children and adults in managing their sensory integration issues such as ADD/ADHD or patterns of being impulsive, hyperactive, inattentive or exhibit an unexplained lack of productivity.

Chiropractic goes beyond pain

Our bodies are amazing. Think about that statement. As you do, also think about the fact that you probably took a breath, blinked your eyes, moved a limb, moved your head, focused your eyes, digested food, healed a cut, wiggled a toe, salivated and a million other internal operations. Although you were not readily thinking about all of these processes, they were going on without the need for your input. Your brain, while also supplying you with conscious thought, is simultaneously orchestrating a laundry list of functions to keep you alive and well.

How's your resolution going?

As March moves in, the steadfast determination of many people to continue carrying out their New Year's resolutions is no doubt starting to fade. If you are still holding strong to the things you have changed in your life, bravo! If not, well, there's always next year, right?
