Rebecca Ann Hodges (Becky), 59, of Coeur d'Alene, passed away at home with the solace of family. Becky was born on Nov. 9, 1951, in Salmon to Emil and Eugenie (Dionne) Wiederrick. She lived in Cobalt for seven years before her family moved to Mullan.
Becky graduated from Mullan in 1970, and in the coming months after her graduation, she married Richard L. Hodges, in Coeur d'Alene on Aug. 21, 1970.
Becky worked as a sales associate at the Silver Shop in Wallace in the 1980s, then she started a new occupation as a bank teller for US Bank and Wells Fargo for seven years throughout the Silver Valley and Coeur d'Alene. Her employment until her passing was a Jail Technician for the Kootenai Sheriff's Department where she's kept the bad guys in and the good guys out for more than 10 years.
After Becky and her husband moved to Coeur d'Alene, she regularly attended the Church of the Nazarene. In 2004, Becky became a certified member of the Church of Nazarene and in 2005; Becky was baptized by Pastor Ron Hunter. Belonging to the church was a passion to her and she graciously hosted foster children for dinner several times a month. In her leisure, she would spend time in her garden and tended to her flowers and lawn.
She is survived by a son, Richard Hodges Jr. and his wife, Rhea from Oakley, Calif.; a son, Randy Hodges and his wife, Stephanie from Badem, Germany; a son, Ryan Hodges and his wife, Helen from SeaTac, Wash.; a grandson, Rory and three granddaughters, Rebecca, Rachel and Riley; a brother, Bob Wiederrick and his wife, Alberta from Salmon; a sister, Verna Vandelaare and her husband, Richard from Spokane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hodges; her parents; two brothers, Doug and Frank; and one sister, Patty.
Memorial services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Church of the Nazarene, Coeur d'Alene.
