ANNIVERSARIES

Joe and Marilee Barrett

50th Anniversary

Joe and Marilee Barrett celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Coeur d'Alene Elks Lodge No. 1254 on Saturday, July 9, 2011.

They were joined by more than 60 friends and family. Their sons, Pat and his wife Jennifer from McKinney, Texas, Tim and his wife Jill from Hendersonville, Tenn., and Sean from Idaho joined them in the celebration. The Barretts have seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

They moved from Lake Arrowhead, Calif., to the Coeur d'Alene area in 2004 after Joe retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after 35 years. Joe is a member of the Elks as a Trustee and the Owls which is a retired law enforcement and fire department organization.

Ted and Joyce Hughett

50th Anniversary

Ted and Joyce Hughett will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration at their home in Hayden on Saturday, July 16, 2011.

Host for the event will include: Nancy and Rick Codina of Sacramento, Calif., Cheryl Hughett of Coeur d'Alene and Julie Hughett of Carmel, Calif., and grandchildren, Diego and Adan Codina, and Claire Moorer.

The couple were married July 15, 1961, in Carmel.

ENGAGEMENTS

Hodgson-Anardi

Chrystal Marie Hodgson of Post Falls and Dustin Kain Anardi of Fort Qu' Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada, announce their upcoming wedding in July.

Chrystal is the daughter of Bonnie and Bud Sutherland of Post Falls, Ken Hodgson of St. Maries and Debbie Hodgson of Tensed. Dustin is the son of Rodney and Susan Anardi of Fort Qu' Appelle.

Vorous-Kaestner

Scott and Mary Vorous, of Coeur d'Alene, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacqueline Marie Vorous to Tyson Ward Kaestner, both of Coeur d'Alene, son of Rob and Sue Kaestner of Coeur d'Alene.

Jacqueline and Tyson both work concierge at The Terraces on Lake Coeur d'Alene.

The couple plans to wed Aug. 27, 2011, at The Terraces on Lake Coeur d'Alene. The bride will be given in marriage by Dr. Phil Layne. Bridesmaids will be Sara Vorous of Coeur d'Alene and Cole Kaestner of Coeur d'Alene. A reception will follow at The Terraces in The Manhatten Suite on Lake Coeur d'Alene. The wedding honeymoon will be a surprise.

The couple will reside in Hayden.

Morse-Casiano

Suzan Morse of Coeur d'Alene and Mike Morse of Alberton, Mont., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Shawn Morse to Tech. Sgt. Eddie Casiano III, the son of Ivonne and Wes Bauer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Edgardo Casiano Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Shawn graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 2001 and St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, in 2005 with a degree in criminal justice. She then graduated from the San Antonio Police Academy in 2007.

Eddie graduated in 2000 from Trevor Brown High School in Phoenix. He enlisted in the United States Air Force that same year. During his military service he has been deployed overseas four times. Eddie also graduated from the San Antonio Police Academy in 2006.

Shawn and Eddie are both employed as police officers with the San Antonio Police Department. They are planning a November 2011 wedding in Coeur d'Alene.

BIRTHS

Annalise Nichole Hunt was born at 3:30 a.m. Dec. 10, 2010, to Danielle and Sean Hunt, at Kootenai Medical Center. She weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 21 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Mike and Connie Green. Paternal grandparents are Dennis and Debbie Hunt.

Evelyn Ilene Langford was born at 10:58 p.m. June 22, 2011, to Kristie and Jeffrey Langford of Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 20 inches long. Sister is Natalia Langford. Maternal grandparents are Dennis and Roberta Myers. Paternal grandparents are Ralph and Doris Langford.
