Ian Clifford Hodson was born May 12, 1983, in Kootenai Memorial Hospital in Coeur d'Alene to Curtis James Hodson and Diana (Baade) Hodson. He passed away peacefully at home in Post Falls on July 7, 2011.

He graduated from Post Falls High School in 2001. After high school he received an associate's degree in computer science in 2004 from North Idaho College and an associate's degree in accounting from Spokane Community College in 2009.

Ian enjoyed gardening, photography, hiking and loved building and working on computers. He will always be remembered for his broad knowledge of so many subjects but will especially be remembered for his kind and unassuming nature. All who knew him loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis James Hodson.

He is survived by his mother, Diana (Baade) Hodson; grandfather Harold Hodson; brothers Brett Hodson, Matt (Kay) Hodson and Erik Hodson; niece Zada Hodson and nephews Tristan and Evan Hodson.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Post Falls. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel, is entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
