The Kootenai County Sheriff's Department will be participating in an aggressive driving emphasis patrol from July 15 to July 26.
They will be focusing on aggressive drivers, primarily speeding violations, to help reduce injury accidents.
Other examples of aggressive driving include failure to signal, following too close, stop sign violations, and disregarding signals and other signs.
Nationwide, speeding was a contributing factor in more than a third of fatal crashes and more than 13,000 lives were lost in such crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
