Heinz named coach of the year

Columbia Falls High School track coach Jamie Heinz was recently named Coach of the Year for Class A boys track and field by vote of the Montana Coaches Association.
The Columbia Falls boys track team won its first ever state A title this year, downing second-place Corvallis 98-72. The Blue Devils beat the Wildcats in 2010 by 11 points.
Heinz will be presented the award during the 44th annual Montana Coaches Association's Multi-Sports Coaching Clinic in the Great Falls High School auditorium on Aug. 4.
