Mary Librande, 73

Mary Margaret (Scott) Librande, of Hayden, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the age of 73.

She was born in Valentine, Neb., on Dec. 29, 1937. Mary moved with her family to Rice Lake, Wis., in 1938. She graduated from the University of Eau Claire. She married Samuel Librande on Nov. 14, 1964. They lived in Rice Lake raising their growing combined family (16 children in all) and running their business until 1976 when they moved to Coeur d'Alene. Mary continued raising her family and operating their business with her husband and family as they welcomed their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed NASCAR, trivia, card and board games, gardening and cooking for family and friends.

She was survived in death by her brothers, Roy (Barb) Scott and Bob (Karen) Scott; her children, Leonard (Linda) Librande, Sue (Randy) Armsbury, David (Gail) Librande, Mark Librande, John (Barb) Librande, Teresa Librande, Jim (Melody) Librande, Mary (Steve) Moore, Debbie (Jim) Hassan, Rose Knight, Anne (Tim) Bell, Paul Librande, Enoch Librande, Ruth (Dave) Koltas, Jerry (Hayli) Librande; and 37 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Clara Gould; her husband, Samuel Librande; her grandchildren, Joseph Librande and David Christopher Koltas.

Viewing will be held at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, with funeral services following at 10:30 a.m. and burial at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Please visit Mary's memorial and sign her online guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
