COEUR d'ALENE - A new 8,000-square-foot building is under construction at Village at Riverstone for Spokane Valley-based Advanced Dermatology and Skin Surgery.

The new building is going up along Riverstone Drive next to Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery.

Steve Stoehr, project superintendent, said Advanced Dermatology would like to move in by October.

Stoehr said the general contractor on the project is Yost, Mooney and Pugh Contractors Inc., of Spokane.

The building's architect is NAC Architecture, in Spokane, Stoehr said.

The property is owned by Advanced Dermatology, which has an office at 1807 N. Hutchinson Road, off the Argonne Road exit of Interstate 90.

The business is a group of dermatologists that provide surgical, medical and cosmetic treatments for the skin.

The Coeur d'Alene clinic will be Advanced Dermatology's second.

"We have a lot of patients that come from that area," said Wendy Stoehr, a manager at Advanced Dermatology. "We want to be part of the growth going on in Coeur d'Alene."

The dermatology clinic also will have a skin cancer surgery center, cosmetic and laser center, and coffee and tea bar.

Advanced Dermatology will be hiring about 20 people to staff the new clinic, including nurses, medical assistants, business office personnel and an esthetician.

The business will employ about 50 total people between the two offices, she said.
