Jerry W. Taylor, age 78, of Coeur d'Alene, passed away July 12, 2011, at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 17, 1933, in Omaha, Neb., the son of John Taylor and Josephine Zavisch. Jerry graduated from Bell High School, East Los Angeles College, and attended San Jose State College in California. He worked most of his career in the produce industry and established his family-owned business, Creative Agricultural Packaging, Inc., in 1980 in Brea, Calif., and later in Hayden.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Helen (Koester) Taylor of Coeur d'Alene; daughters and sons-in-
law Kathy and Steve Moore of Hayden, and Kelly and Robert Butkovich of Prudenville, Mich.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren located in Arizona, Idaho and Michigan; his mother, Josephine Zavisch and stepfather, Charles Zavisch of Sun City, Calif.; his half-brother, Charley Zavisch of Portland, Ore.; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Conner and Dani Haley of Hesperia, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews in California. He was preceded in death by his father, John Taylor; stepmother, Betty Taylor; two half-brothers, John and Jim; and an infant sister, Donna.

The entire Taylor family wishes to thank everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers during the last few months. To Dr.'s Ray Newcomb, Charles Gates, and Keith Kim your compassion and medical guidance were such a blessing. The Oncology Department at KMC, Cindy and Justin, and staff, your healing touch and helpfulness made those last two weeks bearable. To Hospice of North Idaho, Melissa, Aline, Joe, and to the wonderful, comforting voice of Will in the wee hours of the morning, "It's O.K., I'll be right there," your love and support helped to make Jerry's final journey a dignified and peaceful adventure for all of us.
