Andrew Overcash, 46, of Whitefish, was killed late Monday after rolling his 1948 Jeep Willys station wagon on Beaver Lake Road.
The Montana Highway Patrol said alcohol appears to have been a factor in the rollover on the gravel road northwest of Whitefish. His two passengers, John Howard, 49, and Kristina Spano-Duguay, 43, received minor injuries.
Neither the driver nor the passengers were wearing seat belts.
According to the patrol report, Overcash was westbound on Beaver Lake Road around midnight when he failed to negotiate a curve. The Jeep left the road and overturned, ejecting and pinning him beneath the vehicle.
He died at the scene. Trooper Robert Hensley said the passengers had just moved here from Virginia a week ago.
