EPHRATA - A Soap Lake man will serve 30 days in jail for possessing more than $11,000 worth in stolen items.

Rodney H. Wilson, 45, pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property in the first degree in Grant County Superior Court.

The charges weren't changed as part of the plea agreement.

Wilson has no prior convictions, leading to a sentencing range of zero to 90 days in jail.

Grant County Superior Court Judge John Antosz followed the prosecutor's recommendation, sentencing the man to 30 days in jail. The sentence will run concurrent with an Adams County Superior Court case.

Wilson was arrested after the Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Adams County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant on a 30-acre parcel on Road 19.3 Northeast, according to a Grant County sheriff's report. The land contains Boneyard Recycling and several residences.

Wilson showed an Adams County sheriff's detective a Rainier Beer trailer containing several gas driven pumps and a 200 gallon fuel tank, according to the police report. He admitted to stealing jet fuel from the Othello airport. The Port of Othello reported more than 900 gallons of jet fuel was stolen from the airport.

He showed officers several other stolen items, including a white flatbed trailer, welder, three sets of metal drawers and two white metal toolboxes, according to the police report. Police also discovered a 1979 Ford Service pickup on Road B.5 Northeast, which Wilson admitted to stealing.
