Mae E. Cannon (Miller - Blanford), 73

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Mae lost her fight with cancer on July 19, 2011. Born May 11, 1938, in Priest River to Everett and Martha Miller she married Jack Cannon on March 13, 1965.

Residing in Coeur d'Alene she was a stay-at-home mom for their combined family of five kids. Mae was a member of the First Baptist Church, Christian Women's Club, TOPS and Camp Fire Girls. She played music with her family as the Cannon Family Band and later with Juanita and Friends. Moving to Blanchard in 1997 they were part of the Blanchard Community Church, Blanchard Days, Grange and BASIC.

Mae's greatest love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she shared that love with everyone. "That none should parish" was her life's goal.

Preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Martha Miller; her husband of 41 years, Jack and her brothers, Bill and Dale Miller.

She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Reese of Las Vegas, Jan (Jay) Rudd of Spokane Valley; son Ted Cannon of Seattle; stepdaughters Rebecca Hanson and Ronan, Mont., and Vicky Cannon of Boise; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters and many others.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at Spokane Valley Baptist Church, 1222 S. McDonald Road, Spokane Valley.
