Idaho Thunder win again, conclude pool play today
BOISE - The Idaho Thunder FC under-16 boys soccer team from Post Falls defeated Magic from New York 2-0 on Saturday in a pool play match in the U17 boys premier division of the US Club Soccer Nationals at Hubbard Fields.
The Thunder (2-0, 6 points) will face Darlington School Soccer of Georgia today at 4 p.m. in their final pool play match.
The championship match is Monday at 9 a.m. PDT.
Roller finishes tied for 10th at Washington Juniors
WALLA WALLA - Stephen Roller of Hayden tied for 10th place in the boys 14-15 year old division in the Washington State Junior Golf Association tournament on Friday, finishing the tournament with a total of 227 strokes.
Roller shot a 73 on Wednesday at Wine Valley Golf Course and 77 on Thursday at Walla Walla Country Club. He concluded with another 77 on Friday at Walla Walla Country Club.
Tyler Salsbugy of Enumclaw (69-69-72-210) won the tournament, which consisted of two 18-hole rounds to determine cuts for the final day.
Kenny Dodge of Post Falls was the only other local to make the cut for the final day, and finished 78-75-79-232 in the 14-15 division.
