TEALIBAN: Watch your rear, folks
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 14 years, 9 months AGO
In "The Nation" magazine a few weeks ago they gave the tea party the name "tea-liban." How appropriate!
Since the Republican-tealiban have taken a few state governments in the past elections in each state, the tealiban have declared war on the teachers, public employee unions and the middle class and whatever unions/organizations in that area.
In my state, our Czar of Education has launched his own assault on teachers and their unions. But that is another story.
Gaining the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives or should I say mis-representatives, the tealiban has initiated their own assault on the remains of the middle class.
Medicare would be replaced by "vouchers," "credit chits" and various other determinations. That plan reminds me of years ago they sold little bags of tobacco called Bull Durham, with a little round tag attached with a picture of the bull's head on it. The story was if you saved one thousand tags you won a free trip. The end line was the trip was around the bull's rear end.
In Social Security the tealiban would turn it over to the brokerage houses and whatever other leeches were chosen to gain the largesse of monies withheld from the working people, plus the government would probably pay them the billions of dollars S.S. has in IOUs from the robbing of the funds for every other expenditure.
So in regard to the above changes sought by the tealiban Republican coalition, start saving your thousand tags.
In their plans to cut the deficit they say nothing about ceasing financing two needless Republican wars and the third one they would like to start with Iran.
