Mineral County Sheriff Ernie Ornelas confirmed late Saturday the deceased female found in Mineral County Friday afternoon was identified as Kelly Jo Merseal Dube-Woodard, 47, of Superior, Mont., who had been missing since Tuesday. The autopsy results are pending.
Members of the Mineral County Search and Rescue discovered the body of Kelly Dube-Woodard in a wooded area of Mineral County. Dube-Woodard's jeep was found at the Trout Creek campground outside of Superior Tuesday prior. The jeeps doors were unlocked, her purse was inside, but her keys and phone were missing.
Nevada police arrested Dube-Woodard's ex-husband, Michael Woodward, after an attempt-to-locate alert was issued for him for alleged aggravated assault and kidnapping.
Nevada Highway patrol said Dube-Woodard called police them and said she was being attacked.
Michael Woodward is being held in Elko, Nevada jail on $100,000 bail. An arraignment and court case are pending.
Dube's daughter Jesica Rokohl told the press Dube's parents filed a missing person report when she wasn't where she was supposed to be Tuesday.
The investigation by the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation and the Mineral County Sheriff's Office continues.
