The Kalispell Police Department began a criminal investigation after a seven-month-old baby was diagnosed with a skull fracture Saturday night after the mother took the child to the hospital. The mother said the child had been with another woman from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday. 

Police responded after a vehicle struck a pedestrian near South Main and Second Street West at 12:10 p.m. Sunday. The woman was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

A man reported that a homeless woman at his apartment on Fourth Avenue West wouldn't leave Saturday afternoon. The man was trying to help the woman, who had been drinking.

Polson Police Department officers responded after two people suffered minor injuries in a grocery store parking lot after they were struck by a vehicle at 1:50 p.m. Saturday. One person had been pushing a shopping cart. The victims were treated at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Parents were counseled after some children at a playground were spotted with a string hung up like a noose. The children were allegedly trying to hang themselves around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Lake County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested three men after a man reported that another man pulled a knife on a man on Dandy Jim Lane in Mission at 5 p.m. Saturday.
