On June 8, 2011, Geraldine Peluso left us to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Geraldine or "Geri" was born in Lynch, Ky., Nov. 5, 1925, to Wayne Oscar and Hazel Sarah Lay.

She met the love of her life, Ernest, and they married June 1, 1946, in Newport, Ky. In 1949 with two children in tow they moved to Chatteroy, Wash., enjoying the country life and adding 11 more children to their happy family. In 1992 they moved to Post Falls and as Mom declined in health her husband, Ernest, stayed devotedly by her side.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ernest Peluso; her children, Ernest, Angela (Don), Deborah (Jeff), Teresa (Paul), Helen, Sean (Tracie), Tony (Wanda), Carmen, Jacqui, Robert and Gary (Anita). She had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are siblings Layton and Opal and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Geri was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ruth, Jean and Melba Lee and her beloved sons Joseph and Frank. Geri also lost in the adoption process siblings Mary Lou and Lewis and her family has lost contact with them.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, with Father Nolan officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
