Youth fishing
clinics Saturday
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game, in cooperation with the Panhandle Bass Club, have planned youth fishing clinics at Rose Lake for Saturday.
Due to safety considerations, IDFG wants all anglers not involved in the clinic to know in advance that the main boat launch at Rose Lake will have very limited availability on Saturday prior to 5 p.m.
Anglers are encouraged to avoid Rose Lake prior to 5 p.m. Saturday if they plan to use the main boat launch. IDFG suggests anglers use the Medimont launch to access other nearby lakes such as Cave Lake and Medicine Lake. After 5 p.m., boat access to Rose Lake should return to normal.
IDFG holds numerous hunting and fishing events to promote participation in outdoor recreation. The focus of this event is to encourage youngsters to participate in fishing and perhaps choose fishing as a lifetime sport.
The number of participants in this event is limited, as the Panhandle Bass Club will be providing boats and individual instruction for young anglers. Only a few spaces remain. To register, call the Panhandle Region Office at 769-1414.
