The Judds to play at Northern Quest

SPOKANE - Country music's most recognized mother-daughter duo, Naomi and Wynonna Judd, will perform as the first act of the Pepsi Summer Concerts at Northern Quest Resort & Casino in the new outdoor venue on Saturday, June 25.

Show time is 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices start at $85 and are available through the Northern Quest Box Office at 481-6700 (toll free (877) 777-5252) or through TicketsWest at (800) 325-7328 or ticketswest.com. Show is for all ages, and those 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

As acclaimed singers and entertainers, The Judds reunited for The Last Encore tour as a way to reconnect with their fans one last time. Wynonna and Naomi see this tour as an opportunity to introduce to their fans new hits as well as taking them back to the good old days of what brought them to stardom.

Since starting their journey together in 1984, The Judds have been celebrated with more than 60 industry awards, including five Grammys, nine CMA Awards and eight ACM Awards. Their top hits include "Why Not Me," "Girls Night Out" and "Love Can Build a Bridge."

Harrison concerts begin Saturday

Harrison's Summer Concert Series is set to begin this weekend.

Mullen Road Band kicks off the summerlong series scheduled each Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at Harrison City Park.

It is sponsored by the Harrison Chamber of Commerce and city of Harrison. Music ranges from bluegrass, rock, country and jazz. The shows are free.

June 25, Doghouse Boyz (blues/folks, rock/jazz)

July 2, Generation Gap (classic rock)

July 4, TBA

July 9, Rampage (classic rock/southern rock)

July 16, Chelsey Heidereich Band (acoustic rock)

July 23, Grassville (bluegrass)

July 30, The Jam Band (rock variety)

Aug. 6, A Taste of Jazz

Aug. 13, Bill Bosly (acoustic)

Aug. 27, Eric E (electric acoustic groove)

Sept. 3, Big Red Barn (rhythm and bluegrass)
