The Bigfork Booster Club was greeted with a disappointing surprise Thursday evening when members discovered that the concession stand at the school's football field and track facility was severally vandalized.

The vandals did what booster board members estimate to be between $5,000 and $10,000 worth of damage. Nearly all of the appliances were destroyed and the two-room facility was covered in popcorn oil, popcorn kernels, ketchup, paint and soap.

The break-in occurred sometime between Tuesday night around 8 p.m. and Thursday afternoon.

The Bigfork Booster Club plans to offer a reward to anyone who comes forward with information about the break-in. Anyone who has such information is asked to contact a booster club member or call the Flathead County Sheriff's Department, which is investigating the case, at 758-5585.
