'Human' body a decomposed beaver

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a person who said they had found a very decomposed body that appeared to be a human at the bottom of a waterfall in the Hubbart Dam area west of Kalispell. A deputy responded, and It turned out to be a very decomposed beaver carcass.
There was a report from a man who said he showed a motor home he is selling to a woman who was accompanied by two men in a Suburban. After they left the property on Montana 40 West, a generator and two batteries were missing from the motor home.
A person calling from Moose Street in the Coram area reported that a neighbor’s dog destroyed his garden.
There was a report of a GPS device and other items being stolen from a vehicle on Nicholson Drive.
A person calling from Mountain Meadow Road reported that some time over the last week, his home was burglarized, with a generator and other items being stolen.
There was a report of someone cutting their way through a fence and a camper trailer being broken into at a storage unit facility on East Evergreen Drive.
Two teenage girls were detained for shoplifting at a business on U.S.2 east of Kalispell.
After a traffic stop on Conrad Drive at about 11:30 p.m., a man was arrested for drunk driving.
Kalispell Police got a report late Sunday from a Liberty Street resident who said someone was rattling a door handle and tapping on a window, prompting her to hide in the basement. Officers who arrived determined the area was secure.
At about 1 a.m. Monday, three juveniles who were in Woodland Park were advised of the park’s rules.
A business on West Center Street was egged, and apparently it has happened before.
There was a report from Second Avenue West regarding someone attempting to break into a car. A door was damaged but nothing was stolen.
A woman calling from Second Avenue East North reported that someone was peeking into the windows of her home Sunday night.
A woman was cited for shoplifting at a business on First Avenue East North.
There was a report of a purse and medication being stolen during a burglary at a home on Seventh Avenue West.
A person calling from an Eighth Avenue West address reported a camera and a portable music player were stolen from a vehicle sometime last week.
A person was arrested for shoplifting from a business on Third Avenue East North. The shoplifter’s vehicle was also towed away from a nearby parking lot.
The ALERT helicopter was dispatched to the West Glacier area Sunday to help a 27-year-old man who had apparently suffered a heart attack on a BNSF Railway train. A county coroner and a local funeral home were sent to the scene, suggesting that the man had died.
The Montana Department of Transportation on Monday completed a cleanup of a section of Montana 35 northeast of Polson that had been partially buried by a mudslide Sunday. The slide caused a partial closure of the highway along with some traffic delays until both lanes were reopened.
